The Two-Shot: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and The Love Witch!

What if Hansel and Gretel were badass witch murderers with steam punk guns and snarky attitudes? You’d probably get something like HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as ultraviolent action heroes.

Why did critics balk at this weird attempt to jumpstart an R-rated fantasy franchise, and why is it the perfect double feature with Anna Biller’s acclaimed horror comedy THE LOVE WITCH, about a young witch whose attempts to find love go horribly awry?

You’ll have to listen to THE TWO-SHOT to find out! Film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold talk about the best and worst of cinema, every single week! And this week they’re joined by fellow critic Liz Shannon Miller!

Stephen King has been dominating Hollywood for over 40 years, and in this very special episode of CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED, film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold are reviewing every* theatrically-released adaptation of his work!

That’s dozens of movies, and it’s all leading up to the eagerly awaited release of IT: CHAPTER 2! (We also review the new dance movie NEXT LEVEL, because that also opens this weekend.)

*Except one. Yeah, sorry, we forgot one and we didn't realize it until it was too late. But try to guess what we missed! We'll review it on the next episode to make up for the error.

Give it a listen!

The Two-Shot: The Dark Tower and The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T!

If you thought Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER was hard to adapt, how do you make a movie out of the wild imagination of Dr. Seuss way back in the 1950s?

Film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold explore why King’s movie went wrong, and why THE 5,000 FINGERS OF DR. T gets Dr. Seuss just right, and may be one of the best fantasy movies you’ve never heard of!

It's an all-new episode of THE TWO-SHOT!

The Two-Shot: Caddyshack II and The Rules of the Game!

CADDYSHACK II has often been called one of the worst sequels ever made... but not by us. In the latest episode of THE TWO-SHOT, film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold compare "Caddyshack II" to the original comedy classic, and discover that the sequel is actually the better of the two!

And what's even crazier, they think "Caddyshack II" is the perfect double feature with Jean Renoir's THE RULES OF THE GAME, a film about class divides that, like "Caddyshack II," was originally criticized but now, unlike "Caddyshack II," is considered one of the best movies ever made!

Give it a listen!

The Two-Shot: Faust: Love of the Damned and Max Max: Fury Road!

Not a lot of people talk about it, but Brian Yuzna's FAUST: LOVE OF THE DAMNED is probably the most disgusting live-action superhero movie ever made! So why is this ultra-low budget film, about a guy who makes a deal with the devil to get Wolverine claws so he can behead people, the perfect double feature with George Miller's celebrated action classic MAD MAX: FURY ROAD?

Film critics William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold guide you through a notorious misfire and an all-time classic every single week on THE TWO-SHOT!

Give it a listen!
